Things Corona & Chavez approve

I don’t understand why Corona or Chavez voted yes on things that would negatively impact our schools, if their fighting for our school right?

It was the Jan 22-2014 meeting where Chavez request that the time allowed for comments from Public would change from 5 min(which its always been) to 3 min. Corona and Chavez both voted yes, to cut public comments. I would think that if you “choose” to run for the position you are I, to fight for the students and the families of Fontana unified school district, you would want to hear what the people you represent have to say, right? Well not these 2 woman. Yes I can blame them, because Chavez wanted it changed and the only 2 members from that Board that are still here are Chavez and Corona. And they are still standing by their decision, because its been discussed in many current meetings how Slowik and Armendarez tried to have it changed back, arguing in our defense ( FUSD community). But Corona and Chavez and now Sandoval agree that the community should not be heard. They are saying that our voice is only allowed to be heard for 180 seconds. These are the people who are supposed to care about our kids. to make themselves sound gracious,” OH WE WILL LET YOU GO A LITTLE OVER” that’s what they say. But not if you are saying something they do not like, they will send you away as soon as that 3 min timer goes off. I don’t know, you can decide how you feel about that. I already stated my feelings on that. And my goal is just to put the information out there, you have to decide for yourselves how you feel about it.

April 2nd 2014 meeting,

Even after S Felt got up and spoke about the laying off of teachers and no raise in five years, and of a recent pay increase for a high level administrator whose position would be split under the reorganization.

Then Boozer asked for creation of these high paying salary positions. These positions pay for Asst Superintendents $160,000 to now $202,000. The chief or director positions have a salary from $120,000 and up.

So that same meeting, the Board containing Chavez and Corona approved this:

Approved creation of the following 11 positions ( over $1,500,000.00 in salary) and job descriptions (copies attached to official minutes): Associate Superintendent, Student Services; Associate Superintendent, Teaching and Learning; Chief of Staff; Chief of Schools (two (2) positions); Deputy Chief of Schools (two (2) positions); Chief Information and Accountability Officer; Director, Special Projects; Director, Grants and Funding Development; and Director, College and Career Readiness

AND THE BOARD MEETING ON  MAY 13 2014 Chavez and Corona they voted to APPROVE the layoff of 27 certificated employees.

IS THIS WHO YOU WANT TO REELECT, THEY HAVE PROVEN THEY DON’T CARE WHAT OUR COMMUNITY SAYS. WOULD YOU TAKE YOUR KIDS TO A DR. WHO WOULDNT LISTEN TO YOU WHEN YOU TELL HIM YOUR KIDS SYMPTOMS, THEY JUST IGNORE YOU AND GIVE THEM COLD MEDICINE EVEN THOUGH THEY HAVE CHICKEN POX.

THATS WHAT THE BOARD IS DOING ABOUT OUR KIDS EDUCATION, IGNORING WHATS REALLY WRONG WITH OUR KIDS EDUCATION AND DISTRICT, AND THEY DONT WANT TO LISTEN TO US WHEN WE TRY AND TELL THEM.
